Rolling hills, scenic rim rocks, timbered mountains….the vast area of remote Eastern Oregon creates the backdrop for a trip you’ll remember forever. We hunt from the historic Oregon Trail to isolated mountains ranging up to 7000 feet in elevation.

High Lonesome Hunts has hunting rights on 100,000 acres of private property plus permits to use BLM land.

BIG GAME RIFLE AND ARCHERY HUNTS

High Lonesome Hunts offers both rifle and archery hunts. Some are tougher than others, requiring considerable walking and climbing. Don’t worry; we’ll adjust the hunt to your pace and physical ability.

Hunting seasons vary from year to year. Bow season generally begins around September 1; rifle deer season begins October 1; rifle elk season usually runs from late October through December.

The location and lodging depend on the trip you book. For most hunts we stay in mountain cabins with all the comforts of home. Some trips are run out of tent camps. In either case, you can be assured of excellent meals and secure accommodations.
